Chicago Pilsen Tamal Fest 2018

Enrique and I went to the 2018 Tamal Fest hosted in Pilsen on Sunday.  As we are not able to go to Mexico in December this year, I was looking forward to tamales and atole.

Lolitas caught my eye as the signs remind me of true Mexico style. Check out the way they wrote out the prices!  I loved the fruit art too!!

Well, look at this!  More Oaxaca style tamales to enjoy!! We enjoyed the chicken tamales with mole prepared in banana leaves.  This was paired with the warm drink, atole de guayaba.
