The 2019 SOTB Bloggers A to Z Challenge brings us letter S for Surviving Mexico written by C.E. Flores.  Camille and her family have been living in Mexico for over ten years. They live near Moroleon, Guanajuato. This is less than three hours from our family in Morelia, Michoacan.  Moroleon, as I remember it after an eighteen-hour drive from the border to Morelia, is a beautiful city at night.  I was filled with excitement feeling that we were finally home!  Then, I soon realized in my tiredness that I read Morelia instead of Moroleon…plus it was dark out…and we had two to three hours left to drive to Morelia!! I would like to visit Moroleon during the day time as I enjoyed other parts of Guanajuato.

The Flores family are homesteaders who enjoy the countryside in Mexico. I enjoy the resources that Camille provides to readers about homesteading and expat lifestyle. Additionally, she wrote a book to help relocators navigate the health system of Mexico in A Woman’s Survival Guide to Mexican Healthcare.  Another great book she presents along with fellow SOTB Bloggers to highlight life throughout Mexico from various womens’ perspectives is Playing Tourist in Mexico.
